Another shot aimed at CM Punk on last night’s AEW Dynamite show that was ultimately scrapped has been revealed.

On last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW aired the backstage footage from AEW All In at Wembley Stadium last August, which saw CM Punk and Jack Perry get into a backstage altercation.
The footage aired following CM Punk’s interview with Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour, where he gave his perspective on the altercation that led to him being terminated from the company.

The All In footage airing wasn’t the only shot at WWE on the show, as Will Ospreay cut a promo in which he fired back at comments made by Triple H on the Pat McAfee Show last week.
However, in an update from Fightful Select (subscription required), Ospreay ran the promo by several people backstage, with him also considering a shot at CM Punk in the promo, following Punk making a reference to Ospreay’s tattoo following WrestleMania 40.

However, the additional shot at Punk was considered to be overkill given the nature of last night’s show.
Fightful also reports that the line came from Ospreay himself, rather than it reportedly being fed to him from Tony Khan.'
