Tonight’s main event segment of AEW Dynamite featured Tony Khan getting attacked in the ring by several AEW stars.

Jack Perry made an entrance and was received warmly by the Jacksonville crowd who would go on to sing ‘Oh Cry Me A River’ at him as Perry held the microphone up and said thanks.
Noting that he has had some of the best nights of his life in Jacksonville, he called out Tony Khan to handle things ‘face-to-face’.
Tony Khan came out to the ring and did not say anything.
Perry told him it had been a ‘long road’, and also said directly into the camera that in the past five years AEW has ‘changed the world’.

He would go on to tell Tony Khan that “from the bottom of my heart, I swear to God, the only thing that I’ve ever wanted is what is best for AEW.”
With Khan nodding, Perry requested that he shake his hand, re-instate him and continue to change the world together.
With Khan accepting and shaking Perry’s hand, the pair came together in an embrace with Perry smiling before holding up Khan’s hand… before going on to punch him in the stomach, knocking him down.

The rest of The Elite (the Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada) rushed out, telling Perry that he couldn’t attack the boss, but as they appeared to be helping Khan, the crowd didn’t trust it.
And with good reason, as the Bucks also attacked Khan, laying him out with the Tony Khan Driver.
With referees running out to come to the aid of Tony Khan, the crowd reaction was difficult to read as some were cheering Perry and the Bucks while others seemed to boo.

The show came to a chaotic close with an assortment of babyface wrestlers rushing out to look at Tony’s seemingly lifeless body.
Among them was Tony’s own father Shad Khan appearing in the ring, looking concerned as the show went off the air.
