A previously announced match was seemingly cut from tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite (May 29).

It was previously announced that tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite was set to feature the first singles match in 2024 for Saraya.
Last in singles action in December 2023, Saraya had been announced to be facing Mariah May on tonight’s Dynamite.
However after the main event match began (a sudden death Gauntlet match for an AEW title shot at Forbidden Door), fans started wondering what happened to Saraya vs May as it hadn’t taken place.
There was no explanation provided on television for why the match ended up not happening tonight, but later in the show, it was announced it’ll take place next week instead.

For what it’s worth, Saraya ‘liked’ a tweet that reads:

We’ll keep you posted with any further updates on why the match didn’t occur tonight as planned.
There was a TBS title match between Mercedes Mone and Skye Blue tonight, but that was not announced in advance, rather after Blue attacked Mone in the opening segment.
Elsewhere on tonight’s AEW Dynamite, it was revealed what would happen with the TNT Championship after Adam Copeland became injured retaining the title at Double or Nothing 2024.
