There was a quarter-final match on tonight’s AEW Dynamite for the Owen Hart Foundation tournament, plus an announcement.

In a match on tonight’s June 26 Dynamite, Jay White took on Rey Fenix to see who would advance to the semi-finals.
After a match which saw both men’s factions kept away from ringside to ensure it was a one-on-one match, the leader of the Bang Bang Gang emerged victoriously.
Jay White advanced to the semi-finals of the men’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament.

White will take on the winner of Jeff Jarrett’s upcoming match against a mystery opponent labelled ‘Wild Card’.
On the other side of the bracket, Pac defeated Claudio Castagnoli in their quarter-final last week.
Pac will face the winner of Bryan Danielson vs Shingo Takagi, which takes place at Forbidden Door this Sunday.

In a backstage segment after the Owen Hart tournament match, the Young Bucks noted that they would be personally assigning the ‘Wild Card’.
They said that when the wild card wins the tournament, they’ll bring all the gold ‘back to The Elite where it belongs’.
