AEW star Jack Perry has shared his first comments after winning the TNT Championship at Sunday’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view.

A ladder match for the vacant championship took place on Sunday night (June 30), following Adam Copeland recently relinquishing the gold.
Perry was ultimately victorious, bringing another championship back to the Elite, with the Young Bucks holding the AEW Tag Team Championship, and Kazuchika Okada currently the Continental Champion.
AEW has shared a new video showing several stars’ backstage comments following the show. During the video, Jack Perry stated that he has proven that he’s the future of AEW.

Stating that he’s not going anywhere, Perry said:
“I’ve been back here two months. In that time, I joined The Elite, I hit Tony Khan, I got rid of Kenny Omega, I pinned Bryan Danielson, and, I’m the TNT Champion.
“Get a good shot of that right there. You know what that says? That says that I’m the future. That says that I’m the face of this network, even though half the guys in these locker rooms, they probably don’t even want me here. Well, guess what? I ain’t going anywhere.”
