Here’s what happened when AEW star Chris Jericho made his DDT Pro Wrestling debut against Konosuke Takeshita.
The two feuding AEW stars met in singles action at the November 12 DDT Pro Ultimate Party 2023 event.
Not only was this Jericho’s first match for DDT Pro, this also marked the first time Jericho and Takeshita have faced off in singles action, following several AEW tag-team bouts between Jericho and the Don Callis Family.
As expected, Jericho made his entrance to his Judas theme. You can watch a video of Jericho’s first DDT-Pro entrance below.
Jericho was ultimately victorious in the bout, forcing Takeshita to submit with the Walls of Jericho after 23 minutes of action.

While many fans were confused as to why this high-profile singles match was happening away from AEW TV, Takeshita previously explained that he wanted Jericho to compete for DDT.
This Japanese promotion was Takeshita’s wrestling home before he officially joined AEW in November 2022. Takeshita notably kept his contract with DDT-Pro when signing with AEW.
