Tony Khan has revealed a plan for a major change to AEW coming in the next year as he looks to alter the pay-per-view schedule.

On the AEW Revolution media call, Tony Khan was asked by Dave Meltzer if there were any plans to increase the number of pay-per-view events held by AEW in the coming year.
Tony Khan said:

“I could see this year being nine to ten. Nine is probably a good sweet spot. It feels like that’s about the right number.
“I don’t want to make a huge change or increase, but definitely, eight was incredibly successful and I don’t want to do anything totally different, but I do see an opening for nine, probably, and maybe ten.
“Nine feels like a great number for us, in particular when you also consider I put on three Ring of Honor streaming events annually, that puts AEW doing our nine strongest events plus the ROH’s three strongest events.”

AEW Revolution is set for this Sunday, March 3 in Greensboro, North Carolina and features a stacked card of matches.
The AEW Tag Team Championship will be on the line in the icon Sting’s last match as he teams with Darby Allin against the Young Bucks.
The AEW World Heavyweight Championship is also on the line as Samoa Joe looks to defend his title against both Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland.
