Tony Khan has provided a new update on the health of Kenny Omega and his potential return to AEW TV.

Following a big night for the rest of The Elite at Revolution 2024, fans will no doubt be clamouring for a positive update on the health of Kenny Omega.
Omega was suddenly hospitalised with Diverticulitis on December 15, 2023 and has been out of action ever since.
While there hasn’t been a clear timeline on Omega’s return to the ring, hopes were sparked for sometime in the Spring as Omega was featured on posters for upcoming Canadian AEW dates, including on May 1 for AEW Dynamite from Omega’s hometown of Winnipeg, MB.
Addressing Omega’s status at the Revolution 2024 post-show media scrum, Khan said he doesn’t want anyone to expect Omega to return by that date or any other – with his return timeline still unclear.

Khan said:
“I don’t think it would be fair at all to create that expectation that Kenny Omega would be cleared by then.
“I really appreciate the question. I’m very optimistic Kenny will be coming back. But I don’t know the exact date. And I think that’s an aggressive timetable.
“But absolutely. Kenny’s one of AEW’s great stars, and we can’t wait to have him back as soon as possible.
“I don’t think it would be fair to create the expectation he’d be clear by then though. Thanks for asking.”

While Omega’s in-ring return date remains unclear, the former AEW and IWGP Heavyweight Champion did recently make his return to a public setting – co-hosting a Square-Enix event for the recently released Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth video game release.
We at JJA Sport Studio continue to send our well-wishes to Omega in his recovery.
