An update has emerged on the next moves of two top free agents, who are now reportedly expected to sign with AEW.

With it previously reported that Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley’s contracts with TNA Wrestling were set to expire at the end of March, rumors have been swirling about what Sabin and Shelley will do next.
Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the duo are now officially free agents.
The report noted that some within TNA believe that the duo will sign with AEW, and that AEW will be their landing spot.
The TNA roster gave Shelley and Sabin a send-off backstage during Saturday’s (March 23) TNA taping in Philadelphia.

The duo wrestled their final match for the company at this TV taping, against Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards.
This bout will air on an upcoming episode of TNA IMPACT.
Alex Shelley is the most recent former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, with Shelley dropping the gold to Moose at Hard To Kill in January. Sabin is also a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, winning the gold in 2013.

Shelley and Sabin have won a number of other titles between them, including the X Division and TNA Tag Team titles.
Several AEW stars were released from their contracts on Monday.
