AEW commentator Jim Ross has shared his honest thoughts on Paul Wight’s WWE booking, believing that the company “overexposed him”.

The former “Big Show” became a decorated star during the two decades he was with the company, holding numerous titles throughout his career.
He won the WWE Championship during his first year with the company, at Survivor Series 1999.

Speaking on his Grillin’ JR podcast,  Jim Ross argued that WWE should’ve treated Wight as more of an attraction, noting:
“I thought all along that we had kind of mismanaged Big Show. I thought we overexposed him. He was an Andre The Giant-like commodity that should have been seen less to mean more, but we just went whole hog on that deal.
“I thought we overexposed the attraction. You didn’t see Andre getting overexposed. That’s how Big Show should have been booked, but he wasn’t.”

Wight most recently wrestled at the Jericho Cruise in January, teaming with Chris Jericho, Mike Bailey to defeat Kyle Fletcher, Powerhouse Hobbs & Lance Archer.
His most recent AEW TV match took place on the November 13, 2023 edition of Dynamite in the eight-man tag-team street fight.
