An AEW star and current champion reportedly suffered an injury at this week’s AEW Collision taping on Thursday.

On Thursday, AEW held the taping for this week’s episode of AEW Collision, as well as tapings for upcoming episodes of ROH on HonorClub.
At the tapings, current ROH Women’s Champion Athena was in action against Viva Van, and she may have suffered an injury during the bout.

Per PWInsider, Athena injured her left leg during a spot where she charged at Van, who ducked and pulled the middle rope down, after which Athena took a bump through the ropes, landing on the floor.
Athena was limping after the spot, nailing Van with a forearm for the pin, with Van initially kicking out but staying down after the second pinfall attempt, per PWInsider.

PWInsider notes that Athena remained in character after the match, but did not put any weight on her left leg upon leaving the ring, and hopped out while being assisted by the referee and another member of staff.
PWInsider was also told that Athena was checked out after the match, but the nature of her issue has not been confirmed, or whether she will be out of action.
Athena is over 518 days into her run as the ROH Women’s Champion, capturing the title from Mercedes Martinez back at ROH Final Battle in December 2022.
