An update has emerged on MJF’s AEW status following his return at Double or Nothing 2024.

MJF made his highly anticipated return at this past weekend’s show to interrupt Adam Cole, who he attacked before cutting a fiery promo.
In the promo, MJF revealed that he has a new AEW tattoo, ending uncertainty surrounding his status with the promotion.
Fightful Select, has provided an update on MJF’s AEW deal, which they described as “long term”. It has been reported that MJF is now on a “multi-million dollar per year” contract.

It was noted that there are significant creative plans for MJF to be involved in a top feud following his return.
Mikey Rukus has also reportedly prepared additional versions of MJF’s theme, including an orchestral version and a piano version.
There is some uncertainty surrounding MJF’s injury status, with the report noting that he’d told some people that he had worn his shoulder brace to help throw people off his track in recent weeks.

Fightful noted that “as of the spring” it didn’t look like the previously planned MJF vs Adam Cole match could happen upon MJF’s immediate return.
We will continue to provide updates on MJF’s AEW return as they become available.
