AEW star Chris Jericho made a surprise appearance at Friday night’s (June 28) CMLL show, ahead of this weekend’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view.

Stars from AEW, NJPW, STARDOM and CMLL will be in action at the June 30 pay-per-view.
Ahead of Sunday, Chris Jericho made an early crossover appearance, attacking Místico at CMLL Viernes Espectacular while wearing a mask.

Jericho then removed his mask to reveal himself to the Arena Mexico crowd. Jericho and Mistico appeared to tease a bout for a future Arena Mexico show.
You can watch a clip of Jericho’s surprise appearance below.

Chris Jericho hasn’t wrestled for CMLL since unsuccessfully challenging for the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship in September 1995.
Both Mistico and Jericho will be in action at Forbidden Door, with the luchador set to team with Penta El Zero M and Rey Fénix in a trios bout against NJPW stars Hiromu Takahashi, Yota Tsuji and Titan.
Jericho will also compete in trios action, teaming with Big Bill and a third partner to battle Samoa Joe, Hook and Katsuyori Shibata.
