In the opening bout of tonight’s AEW Forbidden Door pay-per-view, former World Champion MJF took on CMLL star Hechicero.

While MJF would pick up the victory in the end, by the time the match was over it seemed as though he was favoring his shoulder.
Excalibur on commentary specifically noted that MJF can’t afford any shoulder issues if he’s looking to get back into the AEW World Championship hunt.
Before his recent return, MJF spent six months out due to injury issues which included rehabbing a torn-up shoulder.
He spoke on Busted Open Radio about his decision to rehab instead of getting surgery, saying surgery could have meant an additional six months out.

Taking to Twitter, MJF provided an update and wrote after the match:

Bagel Boss of course being a classic NY bagel chain.
In a segment on this past week’s AEW Dynamite MJF offered Daniel Garcia a match against him at AEW All In London at Wembley Stadium on August 25.
