MJF is in Mexico to defend the AEW American Championship at the iconic Arena Mexico and he’s not particularly happy about it.
On August 2, 2024, MJF will face Templario before heading to the United Kingdom to put the championship on the line against Michael Oku at RevPro.
All of this should bring us to AEW All In on August 25, with MJF facing Will Ospreay for the championship in London, England.
Having arrived in Mexico, MJF has shared his initial thoughts about the country in a video shared by CMLL on Twitter, saying:
“I’ve just arrived in the airport in Mexico, the airport smells horrible, the people smell worse and I’m really looking forward to beating Templario in record time and going back home to the only country that matters The United States of America.”

MJF renamed the AEW International Championship to the American Championship, revealing a new belt on the July 24 episode of Dynamite.
With Will Ospreay seeking to restore honor to the AEW International Championship. he has commented on his upcoming match with MJF and the challenges he faces.
