The nephew of a WWE legend, who has made some recent appearances for AEW, is believed to have signed a deal with the promotion.

On May 11, Tommy Billington – the nephew of the Dynamite Kid – appeared in a losing effort against Dax Harwood on AEW Collision, before returning on the July 13 episode where he also featured in an in-ring angle.
Billington took on Konosuke Takeshita in a losing effort, although he impressed Don Callis enough to be offered a spot in the Don Callis Family, which Billington rejected.

The story may not be over as according to a new report from Fightful Select, Billington is believed to have signed with AEW per talent close to him.
AEW has not officially confirmed the signing, and it also isn’t known if the deal is full-time, or if it’s a tiered, per-appearance deal.

Sources also said WWE NXT was interested signing in Billington as well, according to the report.
Tommy Billington is actually one half of the Billington Bulldogs tag team, although his brother Mark Billington has not appeared in AEW after he suffered an injury in December 2023.
