On tonight’s AEW Dynamite there was an update on a potential new Jon Moxley faction member as the group made their intentions clear.
Jon Moxley, Marina Shafir, Claudio Castagnoli and Pac made it clear on tonight’s Dynamite that they expect Wheeler Yuta to join Castagnoli and Pac in a defense of the AEW World Trios Championship next week on Dynamite.
After an earlier backstage segment featured Pac and Claudio Castagnoli calling out Yuta for not having returned their calls with the three of them being the current AEW Trios Champions, Yuta was stopped backstage by Alex Marvez.
Asking Yuta what his plans were, it was clear that he remains despondent and somewhat disconnected and undecided on exactly what to do.
While he clearly remains shaken by the attack he saw on Bryan Danielson by Moxley, Castagnoli and Pac, he has still said he will wrestle at AEW Grand Slam next week.
Saying that he learned from Bryan Danielson that “you don’t change who you are because people around you are changing,” Yuta said he was a fighting champion and will defend the title.
We will have to wait and see whether or not Yuta ends up joining the faction or rather simply is honoring his commitment to the titles on next week’s Dynamite Grand Slam.
It’s not yet been confirmed who their title defense will be against.
Although Wheeler Yuta is conflicted with the recent events. He has to pull focus with #AEWGrandSlam just around the corner.
