There has been an update on Kenny Omega’s potential return to AEW after missing all of 2024 due to Diverticulitis.

Omega has been out of action since December, when he took to Twitter to announce that he had been hospitalised due to Diverticulitis.
Omega was set to team with Chris Jericho to challenge Ricky Starks and Big Bill for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Worlds End, which ended up being scrapped due to Omega’s injury.

Kenny made an appearance on Dynamite back in May, where he was attacked by Kazuchika Okada and the Young Bucks, leading to speculation about when he may make his return.
Omega has recently been photographed training with Kota Ibushi ahead of a potential return, but that may still be a number of months off.

Speaking on Yuji Nagata’s YouTube channel, Ibushi gave an update on Omega’s status, noting that it’s going to take ‘about two to three more months’ before Omega makes his return.
Ibushi noted that Omega wasn’t sure if he would be able to return, and that he still has trouble with certain things.
Ibushi has also been out of action for 9 months due to injury, last appearing on AEW television in November 2023.
