Former AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm has addressed her CMLL debut match being called off.
Storm was originally set to face off against La Catalina on Friday’s (October 11) CMLL Viernes Espectacular show.
This match was called off ahead of the show, with CMLL announcing that the bout had been postponed due to flights being cancelled because of Hurricane Molton.
A vignette featuring Toni Storm aired during the show, with Storm addressing her absence from the event in a way only Storm could.
The AEW star noted:
“Attention fans & employees of CMLL. As you can see, I am very wet and not in a fun way. For tax purposes, I am currently residing in Florida, and due to Hurricane Milton, every possible flight to Mexico has been canceled like Fatty Arbuckle, after making a series of phone calls, I’ve been informed that the government does not control the weather.
“Nevertheless, I regret to inform you that my match against La Catalina has been postponed, but due to the immense public pressure, it will happen as soon as possible. La Catalina! You threaten to pull the “chucha” out of me? Only I can pull the “chucha” out of me and slap you in the face with it and then I’m gonna grab yours and make it look like a balloon animal.
“CMLL, batten down your hatches because I’m the Lucha-Whore, and Arena Mexico is going to get blown. Chin up, tits out & watch for the shoe”.
Storm hasn’t wrestled for AEW since losing her Women’s World Title to Mariah May at the August 25 All in London event.
