Ahead of WrestleDream, former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho has commented on fans who call him “selfish.”
Chris Jericho has been a mainstay for All Elite Wrestling since the inception of the company in 2019. He has recently been the subject of criticism due to his current “Learning Tree” character and if he has been helping the younger stars he’s been working with.
Appearing on AEW Unrestricted, Chris Jericho commented on working with younger talent and the criticism of being “selfish.” He said:
“You want to feature them as much as possible,”
“That’s the one of the things critics would say, ‘Oh, Jericho’s selfish and blah blah blah,’ but that’s how you get fans to understand who these guys are.”
“I did it with Danny Garcia, I did it with Sammy Guevara, I did it with MJF, I did it with Orange Cassidy. ‘Who are these guys?’ And then you work with them and then people get more comfortable with who they are.”
Chris Jericho last wrestled in a loss to Mark Briscoe for the ROH World Championship at AEW WrestleDream.
