A fan-friendly trend for AEW looks to be continuing with the announcement of a second women’s match for this week’s Collision.
All Elite Wrestling has been hyping up 2024 as a huge year for the fledging promotion with several major shows revealed and a renewed focus on the sports presentation that company was founded on.
As of late, there has been a renewed fan enthusiasm in regards to the much maligned AEW women’s division with more focus and TV time being dedicated to the ladies than ever before.
Over the past two weeks, AEW Collision has seen two women’s matches booked on the show, which has been a trend that many fans have enjoyed.
On February 9, Tony Khan announced Deonna Purrazzo will face Kiera Hogan in singles action on this Saturday’s February 10 edition of AEW Collision.
This marks a third straight week of two women’s matches on the show as AEW Women’s World Champion Timeless Toni Storm will face Queen Aminata on the same broadcast.
This new focus on the women comes amidst speculation that Mercedes Mone is on her way to debuting for the company.
On the February 7 episode of AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan announced that the company will be holding the March 13 edition of Dynamite from TD Garden in Boston. The show will be entitled AEW Big Business.
Many fans and reports have indicated that this is expected to be the date of Mone’s debut for All Elite Wrestling.
