AEW star Buddy Matthews has now broken his silence after appearing to suffer an injury on AEW Collision.
Matthews seemingly suffered a knee injury while teaming with Malakai Black and Brody King in a trios match against Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn & Juice Robinson.
After hitting a Meteora on Robinson, Matthews clutched his knee, before tagging Brody King in.
After the break, Matthews was seen being helped to the back by officials while King and Black continued on in the match, which they ultimately won following interference from PAC.
Buddy Matthews has now taken to Twitter to share a single emoji:

Matthews was then featured in an intriguing angle, with the Patriarchy faction appearing on the screen with Matthews on the floor, after an apparent attack.
It has been speculated that this angle was quickly put together to write Matthews off TV, however it’s currently unclear whether or not this segment was planned in advance.
The nature of Buddy Matthews’ injury is currently unclear. We will continue to provide updates on Matthew’s status as they become available.
We wish Buddy Matthews a safe and healthy recovery.
