An update has emerged on the AEW future of Bryan Danielson after he lost to Jon Moxley in the main event of WrestleDream.

As per the stipulation laid out by Danielson himself, by losing to Moxley, his full-time career is over.
The term “full-time” has very specifically been used throughout the build-up, and now there are some notes about what the future could hold.

Fightful Select reports that Bryan Danielson’s full-time career is legitimately “effectively over”.
The “hope” in AEW is that Danielson will be able to wrestle “periodically” for the company when he’s ready to do so, as well as “resuming additional duties”.

The medical issues played up throughout the storyline are very real, and Danielson does likely require neck surgery.
He’s also been wrestling without a contract and has actually been a free agent for months, but has told people backstage he “doesn’t envision” going back to WWE.
It was noted that Danielson specifically wanted to lose to Jon Moxley to end his full-time run. For a recap of how exactly tonight’s pay-per-view ended, click here.
