There was a scary moment in the opening match of tonight’s WWE NXT premium live event, Vengeance Day, on Peacock.

The opening match of tonight’s NXT Vengeance Day was a big one as it was set to determine the winner of the 2024 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament.
The fairly newly formed team of the Wolf Dogs (Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker) found themselves in the Dusty Cup final against long established team, Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams.
However, one frightening moment during the match saw disaster nearly strike.

In a sequence that saw Bron Breakker running the ropes at top speed, his neck and head slipped beneath the top rope and pinged against it in a scary moment you can see a clip of below.
Despite seemingly suffering a cut to the head as a result of the incident, Breakker did continue the match as he and Corbin picked up the win.
After an apparent miscommunication between Melo and Trick, the former was pinned by Bron Breakker for the tournament victory.

Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker are the the winners of the 2024 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament.
At the end of the segment, the pair proclaimed “me and you!” and pointed together at the WrestleMania 40 sign so we may be able to expect even more from the Wolf Dogs, despite Breakker’s imminent main roster call-up!
