The June 3 episode of WWE Raw saw new contenders seemingly emerge for Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
As can be seen in the highlights below this news story, Belair & Cargill took on Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on the line.
The champions would retain, but only by DQ thanks to Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn attacking Belair and Cargill.
Dave Meltzer has suggested that this could be a set up for a three-way title match at WWE Clash at the Castle.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer addressed plans for the upcoming PLE, saying:
“I think they’re also going to have Bianca Belair… three-way for the Women’s Tag Title with Jade Cargill against… Zoey Stark, Shayna Baszler against Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn.”
Fyre and Dawn both hail from Scotland, with WWE Clash at the Castle taking place in Glasgow at the OVO Hydro arena on June 15, 2024.
The current card for the upcoming show will also see Scotland’s Drew McIntyre facing Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Another Scottish star in action will be Piper Niven who takes on Bayley for the WWE Women’s Championship.
Dave Meltzer has previously stated that Cody Rhodes vs AJ Styles for the Undisputed WWE Championship is “already locked in” though it is yet to be officially announced.
