There has been a new update on Seth Rollins following reports he is set to take time off from WWE due to injury.
As reported earlier today, following his absence from the Raw after WrestleMania, former World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins is set to take time off to recover from his knee injury suffered in January.
There has been no definitive timeline given on Rollins’ absence, however Dave Meltzer noted in the F4WOnline Daily Update for Monday that WWE are hoping it will be no longer than four weeks.
Following this, Fightful Select have now provided further update on Rollins’ status, with a potential clue of when we could see him make a return.
Fightful note that Rollins is expected to factor into the 2024 WWE Draft, which takes place on the April 26 edition of SmackDown and April 29 Monday Night Raw.
Obviously this is not confirmation that Rollins will be physically back on WWE TV for these dates, but some may see it as a positive sign in his recovery.
Injured WWE stars featuring in the WWE Draft is not anything new and doesn’t always spell an imminent return, as seen by Drew McIntyre’s drafting to Raw in 2023, where he only made his return to TV two months after the date of the Draft.
Rollins previously missed two months of in-ring action on the Road to WrestleMania 40, when he suffered a torn MCL and partially torn meniscus during a January 15 WWE Raw match with Jinder Mahal.
JJA Sport Studio will provide further update on Rollins’ status as/when they become available.
