WWE is currently on a tour of the United Kingdom and the fans were in fine voice, chanting for CM Punk in front of Drew McIntyre.
McIntyre and Punk have been locked in a war of words that has spread onto social media and continued at the recent WWE Live event in Birmingham, England.
While CM Punk chants reigned down on McIntyre (as can be seen below this news story), he took to the mic to say:
“You do know, even if he was healthy… which is never… he would never make the trip to the UK, so don’t waste your breath on the idiot.”
The fans seemingly took exception to this, booing as the clip cuts off, although there some fans who appluaded.
At WrestleMania 40, McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship only to lose the belt moments later to Damian Priest who cashed in his Money in the Bank opportunity.
As can be seen in the footage below this news story, Punk’s involvement with McIntyre aided Priest’s victory.
Punk reacted to the swift defeat on Twitter, sharing a variation of the graveyard meme that McIntyre himself had used previously.
