A major WWE star who has been off TV since WrestleMania 40 has now undergone knee surgery.
After last competing on both Night One and Night Two of WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia, it had been reported that former World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins was set for a hiatus from WWE TV.
This was reported to be in order to heal from his knee injury suffered back on January 15, 2024 during a match with Jinder Mahal on WWE Raw – where he suffered a grade two MCL tear and partially torn mensiscus.
At the time Rollins did not undergo surgery for the injury, and was back in action just under two months later – going on to compete in the main event of WrestleMania Night One and opening bout of Night Two.
Now, it has been revealed that Rollins has underwent surgery on his knee on Tuesday (April 16).
The news was broken by Rollins’ wife Becky Lynch during a talk show appearance today (April 19) in Ireland on RTE (see below).
JJA Sport Studio will provide further updates on Rollins’ status as/when it becomes available.
