UFC CEO Dana White has commented on the possibility of UFC stars working for WWE, addressing Derrick Lewis’ recent comments.
Derrick Lewis recently voiced his interest in appearing for WWE, noting that he’s currently in talks with the pro-wrestling company.
Lewis currently competes in the UFC heavyweight division, most recently scoring a victory over Rodrigo Nascimento during Saturday’s (May 11) UFC Fight Night event.
During the post-fight press conference, Dana White noted that he doesn’t have a problem with UFC contracted fighters wrestling for WWE.
White said:
“I would do anything for Derrick Lewis. I really like Derrick Lewis a lot. Listen, some of the fighters who fight here have always dreamed about doing a WWE match or whatever it is and I don’t have a problem with that.
“I didn’t have a problem with that when Vince was consistently f—ing me for no reason and now that that’s not the case anymore, I, obviously, would absolutely do it.”
WWE and UFC have both been operating under TKO Group Holdings since their merger under Endeavor in September 2023.
An update has emerged on a possible change set for WWE premium live events due to WWE’s relationship with UFC, which you can read more about right here.
