WWE Women’s Champion Bayley made an interesting pitch during the Queen of the Ring tournament matches on the latest episode of SmackDown.
Given the impressive matches that have already occurred in the WWE Queen of the Ring tournament, Bayley took to Twitter to share her support for the return of a female-only premium live event.

The original – and so far only – WWE Evolution event took place in October 2018 and featured the likes of Sasha Banks, Bayley & Natalya vs the Riott Squad, Shayna Baszler vs Kairi Sane, Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair, and a main event of Ronda Rousey vs Nikki Bella.
Since then, WWE has not held a women’s-only show.
On tonight’s WWE SmackDown, Tiffany Stratton and Bianca Belair kicked off the show as they battled to make it to the semi-finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament.
In the end, despite still ‘on one wheel’ as Corey Graves put it (clearly favoring one leg as is the ongoing story of her battling a ‘knee injury’) Bianca Belair was able to beat Stratton to advance in the tournament.
While there was a possibility that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions would end up in the semi-finals fighting one another, it wasn’t to be as the second of the two QOTR matches of the night ended in an interesting way.
After a furious start between Jade Cargill and Nia Jax, the pair fought outside of the ring for quite some time, however it would be the introduction of a steel chair that would prove to end the match.
While Nia Jax swung a chair at Jade Cargill, Cargill caught it and instead reversed and hit Jax with it across the back, leading to the referee calling for a disqualification.
That means the SmackDown Queen of the Ring semi-final is Bianca Belair vs Nia Jax, with the winner going on to face either Lyra Valkyria or IYO SKY, which is the Raw semi-final.
Elsewhere on the show, Randy Orton and Tama Tonga advanced to the SmackDown semi-finals of the men’s King of the Ring tournament.
