A WWE name has addressed claims that fan support for Cody Rhodes has been on the decline since he won the title at WrestleMania.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes puts the title on the line against Logan Paul at King & Queen of the Ring on May 25, 2024.
With the original story for the match being title-vs-title, United States Champion Logan Paul introduced a new contract during SmackDown meaning that his US Title wasn’t on the line.

During a recent episode of the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T discussed the popularity of Rhodes and whether fans were tired of the WWE star, saying:
“I always felt like less was more. Less made you feel like a champion a whole lot more.
“Cody doesn’t seem like he’s over-saturated right now. It doesn’t seem that way. It seems like he’s on the show sporadically, but then he’s working.
“The matches that he’s working are high-caliber matches. It don’t get any bigger than working with AJ Styles, to go out and perform at that level, to be in a high profile angle with somebody like Logan Paul, who’s not just captivated the wrestling world – the kid has blown up, he’s totally in his own world.
“And then to be able to go out and perform in that type of a match and perform at a very high level, I’m wondering, what are you looking for when you make a statement like that?”

Booker T has recently praised Logan Paul, reflecting on his ability to “go out and (perform) under the bright lights.”
The Rock’s WWE writer Brian Gewirtz has previously been critical of Rhodes over his reaction to The Rock on the February 1 episode of SmackDown.
While Gewirtz believes Rhodes “didn’t help matters”, it did lead to the #WeWantCody movement.
