An update has emerged on yet another WWE star’s contract status, with their current deal now set to expire.
WWE contracts have been very newsworthy in recent weeks, with a number of notable stars reaching the ends of their current deals.
Reports have emerged on the likes of Chad Gable and Ricochet’s deals coming up, following former WWE Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch allowing her contract to expire.
One of the latest names to feature in these reports was Angel, who’s WWE deal is set to expire in August.
Fightful Select now reports that the contract of Humberto Carrillo (Berto) is also set to expire on August 1, in less than two months.
It was noted that, similar to Angel, WWE is interested in keeping Humberto, with the company making him an offer. WWE and Humberto are reportedly still in negotiations.
Humberto Carrillo signed with WWE in October 2018, following a number of matches for the company in September.
He currently teams with his real-life cousin Angel Garza as Los Lotharios, with both stars now members of Santos Escobar’s Legado Del Fantasma faction.
Humberto most recently wrestled on the May 17 SmackDown episode, teaming with Angel in a losing effort against Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.
