In a new report out of Hollywood, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has signed a new ‘first-look’ deal with The Walt Disney Company.
According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, The Rock’s production company Seven Bucks Productions has just inked a new deal with a major partner.
Seven Bucks has reportedly made a ‘first-look’ deal with Disney.
The agreement will reportedly see Seven Bucks developing films for “theatrical and streaming platforms” with an additional interesting note.
Johnson may potentially star in the projects, after having had several successful films with Disney so far with the hotly anticipated Moana 2 coming soon.
The deal is reportedly multi-year and will allow The Rock’s production company to “collaborate across Disney divisions.”
The Rock currently remains occupied filming a decidedly not Disney helmed project, filming the MMA centric Benny Safdie film, The Smashing Machine with A24.
Johnson notably departed his last ‘Final Boss’ run in WWE with a parting gift to Cody Rhodes which continues to remain a mystery with the reveal potentially being saved for his next appearances, with a match against Rhodes penciled in for WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
