WWE could be bringing back the name of an old annual WWE pay-per-view event if a new trademark filing is anything to go by.

On July 2, 2024, WWE filed a trademark application for SuperBrawl.
SuperBrawl was a WCW pay-per-view held every year from 1991 through to 2001.

The trademark application was filed with the following description:
Exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing wrestling news and information through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information

This of course isn’t 100% confirmation yet that the name is being brought back for a new show as it could be for archive reasons etc, but the description is worth noting as it is specifically for a show, not just for merchandise purposes.
Current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes actually filed to trademark SuperBrawl back in November 2019 while he was an Executive Vice President at AEW, but that was abandoned.
We’ll keep you posted with any further updates.
