Following the latest live event outside of the US, a new WWE premium live event location may have just been revealed.
WWE has seen newfound success outside of the United States with their PLEs this year.
So far, the company has visited Australia for Elimination Chamber, France for Backlash and Scotland for Clash At The Castle in 2024. This came off the heels of WWE going to Puerto Rico in 2023 and their two events in Saudi Arabia every year since 2018.
At the July 14 live event in Monterrey, Mexico, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defeated Santos Escobar in the main event.
After the match, Escobar got on the microphone and suggested that WWE return to Mexico for a PLE in the future.
This led to Rhodes repeating the sentiment and said if anyone deserves a premium live event, it’s Mexico. Cody also had the fans chant “PLE” for WWE CCO Triple H.
The video was posted on WWE’s social media, as you can see here.
It remains to be seen when WWE will make their way to Mexico for a PLE at the time of this writing, but it’s not the first time it’s been pitched, as Rey Mysterio recently said he hopes it happens in the next few years.
