WWE star Brutus Creed has been announced for a big crossover match against a former champion for New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW).

It was previously confirmed that both Julius and Brutus Creed will compete GCW Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XI, which will take place on July 27 in Brooklyn, NY.
Brutus Creed’s opponent has now been announced, with Josh Barnett confirming that the WWE star will face former NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Tom Lawlor.

Josh Barnett shared the following preview for the match on Twitter:

It was previously announced that Brutus’ brother Julius Creed will face off against former Bellator MMA star Matt Makowski on the same show.
Bloodsport matches are unique, with no ring ropes, and competitors only able to win via knockout or submission.
Lawlor has competed at six Bloodsport events since 2018, scoring victories over the likes of Homicide, Simon Grimm (fka Simon Gotch in WWE) and Alex Coughlin, who he defeated in his most recent Bloodsport appearance in 2021.

The NJPW star was previously an MMA fighter before properly pursuing a pro-wrestling career, notably competing in the 2008 season of the Ultimate Fighter.
He fought several more times for the UFC, most recently losing to Corey Anderson via unanimous decision at UFC 196 in 2016.
Lawlor’s legitimate professional fight record sits at 11-8, with Lawlor last competing at PFL 5 in June 2021, defeating Jordan Young via unanimous decision.
