A WWE Hall of Famer has said that he is open to making a return as a manger in the company, and reveals why he turned down a previous offer.

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle retired from in-ring competition back in 2019, losing to Baron Corbin in his final match at WrestleMania 35.
Since then, Kurt has largely remained off television aside from a number of cameo appearances, with fans pitching for him to become a manager for various stars such as Chad Gable and Gable Steveson over recent years.
Speaking on the Kurt Angle Show, Kurt discussed the possibility of returning as a manager, noting that he would be open to the right idea, as well as the right amount of money.

He said:
“I’m happy doing what I’m doing. But would I consider managing? Yeah, it would have to be the right thing. It would have to be the right deal, the right program. Not only that, but the money has to be right.

Kurt would then go on to detail an offer he had to manage Matt Riddle back in 2020, noting that he turned it down due the money being ‘not good’.
He added:
“I will tell you this, I feel a little badly about doing this, but a few years ago, WWE wanted me to manage Matt Riddle. I was into it. I was like, okay, we could have some great vignettes. I think we would have had great chemistry, but it didn’t happen unfortunately because they didn’t offer me the right amount of money. The money they offered me was really not good. Not to say anything bad about the company, but it was like okay, that was kind of a kick to the nuts kind of an offer [laughs].”
