A WWE star has reportedly been taken off the road, with them believed to be injured following a recent angle on television.
On this week’s episode of Raw, a planned match between Sonya Deville and Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai ended up being scrapped.
Prior to the match, Dakota was jumped backstage by Sonya, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark, with IYO SKY subbing in to take her place, defeating Sonya.
Following the show, it was reported that Dakota was pulled from the match due to being hurt, and there’s now been an update on her status.
Per PWInsider Elite, Dakota is currently off the road, and has not wrestled since last month’s WWE tour of Japan.
The belief among some is that Dakota is hurt, but that has not yet been confirmed, and any other specific details.
WWE Bloodline member Jacob Fatu was also not present backstage at last night’s SmackDown show, with him also believed to have suffered an injury at SummerSlam.
