It appears that former undisputed champion Roman Reigns may have been pulled from a planned upcoming WWE appearance.
After returning on August 3 at WWE SummerSlam for his first appearance since WrestleMania 40 in April, Reigns has been appearing on SmackDown as well.
Reigns appeared on both the August 9 and August 16 episodes of SmackDown in confrontations with the Bloodline.
He was also advertised to appear at the September 13 SmackDown in Seattle, Washington.
However, it appears that’s no longer the case.
The official WWE Events page has removed Roman Reigns from both the main graphic advertising the show, and from the ‘Featured Superstars’ section.
The spot on the main graphic is now occupied by Money in the Bank holder Tiffany Stratton, with the Featured Superstars listed as Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, Nia Jax, Bayley, Solo Sikoa and Stratton.
We’ll keep you posted if there are any further updates on Reigns’ status and/or the reason for his removal from being advertised for this particular show.
Reigns’ father Sika Anoa’i passed away in June, and his uncle, Sika’s brother Afa, passed away on the day of the August 16 SmackDown that Reigns last appeared on.
It was recently reported by PW Nexus that WWE is planning for Roman Reigns to feature in a WarGames match at Survivor Series in November.
The match would likely see Reigns reunite with original members of the Bloodline (Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and Sami Zayn) against Solo Sikoa’s new version of the group.
