A top WWE star has signed a new long-term contract with the company amid their current absence due to injury.

In the 2024 WWE Draft, the entire Damage CTRL stable was moved over to the Raw brand, with IYO SKY, Dakota Kai, Kairi Sane and Asuka competing on the brand.
Asuka and Kairi lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill at Backlash in France back in May, with Asuka not competing or appearing on television since.

Asuka was replaced in her advertised Queen of the Ring match with Dakota, and Asuka has been out of action with a knee injury since, recently undergoing surgery.
However, when Asuka is eventually ready to return, she will be doing so for a long while, as PWInsider Elite is reporting that Asuka recently signed a new contract with the company.

Asuka’s signed her deal while out of action with her knee injury, with her deal said to be long-form.
