'Further details have been reported regarding WWE’s plans for the Motor City Machine Guns following their reported signing with the company.
After much speculation, it was confirmed on September 13 that Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin had officially signed with WWE.
The veteran tag team are reportedly set to debut on WWE NXT, with PWNexus reporting that the pair will be pushed as the “face” of the brand’s tag team division.
In their latest update, PWNexus would follow up their reporting from earlier in the week by shedding further light on some of WWE’s plans for the team when they debut on TV.
Posting on Twitter, PWNexus reported that Shelley and Sabin are going to retain the Motor City Machine Guns name – which is sure to be welcome news to fans.
Logos and merchandise designs are also currently being drawn up for the team ahead of their TV debut, which, as previously reported, is set to take place on or before NXT’s premiere episode on the CW Network on October 1.
Despite Shelley and Sabin retaining the MCMG name in WWE, the same cannot be said for their TNA theme music, with PWNexus reporting that WWE’s Def Rebel already has a theme set for them ahead of their debut.
JJA Sport Studio will continue to provide updates on Shelley and Sabin’s WWE debut as/when they become available.
Logos, merch designs are still being worked out for Motor City Machine Guns in #WWE.
