WWE has been in signing mode for the past few weeks, aiming to lock in contract extensions for a number of stars with expiring contracts soon.
A number of names re-signing with the company have recently been confirmed, including Nikki Cross, Cedric Alexander and Shayna Baszler.
It was recently reported by PWInsider that former WWE Champion Sheamus was very close to agreeing to a multi-year extension with the company, and that is now official.
On the Pat McAfee Show today, McAfee announced that Sheamus has officially signed an extension with WWE, set to keep him with the company for a number of years to come.
Fightful Select, provided more information, noting that the deal is indeed for multiple years in length.
Sheamus’ contract was originally set to expire earlier this year, but additional months were added to the deal due to injury time.
