CM Punk has shared backstage photos from Survivor Series 2023, when he signed his WWE contract on the same day as his official return.
While there had been a few teases that CM Punk was set to return to WWE, fans were shocked when he made his comeback in the closing moments of the November 25, 2023 premium live event.
CM Punk recently spoke about his return, noting that contract talks were happening at the arena hours before his debut, ahead of his WWE deal being finalised.
Punk has now taken to his Instagram story to share photos from Survivor Series 2023.
In one photo, Punk is hiding in the back of a WWE truck, with his face covered and hood up. In another, Punk is signing his WWE contract in the same outfit he made his comeback in.
CM Punk has been out of action for most of his time back, tearing his tricep in the January 2024 Royal Rumble match.
He returned to the ring to face Drew McIntyre in a brutal trilogy of matches, losing to the Scotsman at SummerSlam, before scoring victories over McIntyre in a strap match at Bash In Berlin, and a Hell in a Cell bout at Bad Blood.
