An update has emerged on AJ Lee’s potential return to the ring, with WWE’s stance on this potential comeback revealed.
With CM Punk returning to WWE in late 2023, there has been a lot of speculation about his wife and former Divas Champion AJ Lee stepping back into a WWE ring.
Several WWE names have publically asked AJ to return, fuelling rumors about the possibility of this comeback.
Per WrestleVotes in a Backstage Pass Live Q&A, WWE is “totally on board” with having AJ return.
WrestleVotes noted:
“The answer to that is as far as I know, WWE is totally on board for it, they would welcome it.
“She picks up the phone, she says ‘I’m in,’ they’re going to say ‘yes, what took you so long?’
“I would say the only two people that probably know that answer are AJ Lee and CM Punk, and whatever that answer may be, it’s up to them so we’ll see.”
AJ Lee hasn’t wrestled since the March 30, 2015 Raw episode, teaming with Naomi and Paige (Saraya) to defeat Natalya and the Bella Twins.
