The WWE King And Queen Of The Ring semi-final round matches for Raw are confirmed after quarterfinals took place tonight.
A hard hitting match steeped in history kicked off tonight’s Queen of the Ring matches, as Shayna Baszler took on IYO SKY.
In the end, IYO SKY was able to escape the winner of the bout, advancing in the tournament.
Elsewhere, Lyra Valkyria defeated Zoey Stark to advance to the semi-finals next week.
SKY and Valkyria would later come face-to-face in the ring in a moment that previewed their semi-final when Valykria ran out to break up a Damage CTRL attack on Becky Lynch.
The King of the Ring action kicked off for the night with Kofi Kingston getting a very special ring entrance.
Legendary WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia appeared in a brief in-ring moment, introducing Kingston ahead of his match against GUNTHER.
In the end it was GUNTHER who would beat Kingston, successfully advancing to the semi-final.
Tonight’s main event featured the last of the matches, Jey Uso taking on Ilja Dragunov.
In the end, the it was Jey Uso who was able to win and advance to meet GUNTHER in the Raw King of the Ring semi-final.
Earlier in the night, a dream rematch was teased after GUNTHER and Ilja Dragunov came face-to-face backstage in a wordless encounter.
After the match however, GUNTHER would come face-to-face with Uso in the ring after briefly smirking at Dragunov following his loss.
The SmackDown quarterfinals were noted to be set for Friday by Michael Cole on commentary as WWE continues to speed towards the premium live event, King and Queen of the Ring.
The SmackDown quarter-finals for the women are Bianca Belair vs Tiffany Stratton, and Jade Cargill vs Nia Jax. For the men, it’s Randy Orton vs Carmelo Hayes, and Tama Tonga vs LA Knight.
