The September 2 episode of WWE Raw saw Damage CTRL take on Unholy Union with the current Women’s Tag Team Champions at ringside.
Highlights from the match can be seen below this news story, as Iyo Sky & Kairi Sane took on Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn.
Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair may have have been watching from ringside, but that didn’t see them immune from the action.
With Sane hitting a dive on Belair, it would be Cargill who would level the Damage CTRL member in retalition.
All the in-ring action saw Unholy Union come out victorious with Damage CTRL and the team of Belair & Cargill staring each other down post match.
Sane didn’t come out of the match injury free, however, as demonstrated in a photo that she shared on Twitter.
As can be seen below, Sane took quite a hit to the eye region of her face, leaving a bloody reminder of the evening’s events.
It was reported by PW Insider that Sane had suffered the injury after “hitting the announce table during a dive to the outside.”
The report would go on to note that the Damage CTRL member had received stitches backstage after the match.
Asuka would reply to the image with a supportive message, writing:
I'm glad you're okay.

Sane would respond to Asuka’s support with a message of her own, posting:

Asuka is currently absent through injury although she did make an appearance on the WWE tour of Japan.
It was recently reported that Asuka has signed a new deal with WWE.
