Sheamus and Pete Dunne continued their bitter feud on the September 2 episode of WWE Raw during the Celtic Warrior’s three-way match with Ludwig Kaiser and Braun Strowman.
As can be seen in the highlights below this news story, it was Braun Strowman, who had replaced Bronson Reed, who was victorious over Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser.
The WWE Intercontinental Championship Number 1 Contender Tournament now sees Strowman join Pete Dunne, Ilja Dragunov and Jey Uso in a four-way match on next week’s WWE Raw.
Dunne made his presence felt in last night’s match, attacking his former friend with a shillelagh and robbing Sheamus of any chance of victory.
Sheamus has now revealed the injury to his back, showing a bright red welt left by the weapon that can be seen below this news story and tweeting:
what he doesn’t realise is.. Irish retribution is a completely different thing. #petesdone this is war. pic.twitter.com/W9IZd3S44g

Dunne shared a photo of the shillelagh that he had used on Sheamus, revealing:

And, in response to that post, Sheamus would have a pointed response based on words from Dunne’s NXT opponent, tweeting:
To quote @_trickwilliams: “You A Butch” https://t.co/kffoPyYkz2

Pete Dunne faces Trick Williams on the September 3 episode of WWE NXT and also took issue with Jackie Redmond for the use of his old WWE name Butch, as can be seen below.
