Joe Tessitore made his live commentary team debut on the September 2 episode of WWE Raw alongside Wade Barrett.
The pair will remain the voices of WWE Raw until until January 2025 when the show has its premiere on Netflix.
Ahead of Tessitore’s work on last night WWE Raw, it was reported that ‘many within [the company], especially on the production side, are fired up” for his debut.
Tessitore would go on to reflect upon his debut and the enthusiastic reception he had received on WWE Raw after last night’s show.
Another enthusiastic voice that put his weight behind Tessitore is WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce who tweeted:
Congrats to my pal, @JoeTessESPN.

Tessitore signed with WWE in July 2024 and was referred to as “one of the most versatile and veteran voices in sports television” in the official announcement of his recruitment.
Triple H reacted to the announcement, describing Tessitore as “an absolute pro with incredible energy” and a “perfect addition out already star-studded announce team.”
With Tessitore joining the WWE Raw commentary team, Michael Cole heads to WWE SmackDown until January 2025 when he will reunite with Pat McAfee when Raw debuts on Netflix.
