Jey Uso became Intercontinental Champion on last night’s WWE Raw and joins his father on a short list of father and son champions.

Uso’s father is WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi who was also an Intercontinental Champion and has commented on his son’s win.
Rikishi held the Intercontinental Championship from the June 22 2000 until July 6 where he would lose it to Val Venis on SmackDown.
With Jey Uso now picking up the win, the pair join Mr Perfect and his son, Curtis Axel, as the second father and son to hold the Intercontinental Championship, as noted by WrestleVotes.

At WWE Payback in 2013, Axel took on The Miz and then-champion Wade Barrett in a three-way for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Mr Perfect would have two reigns as WWF Intercontinental Champion with the both starting in 1990.
Perfect first held the championship on Superstars of Wrestling recorded on April 23 1990, losing the title on August 27 of that year to The Texas Tornado at SummerSlam.

His second reigns would start, once again on Superstars of Wrestling, recorded on November 19 1990, running to another loss at SummerSlam in August 1991, this time against Bret Hart.
