New WWE SmackDown lead commentator Corey Graves has reacted to his first night officially having taken over.
While Corey Graves has been on commentary on WWE SmackDown for years, his role shifted on last night’s episode (February 3) as he slid over to lead commentator.
Joined by Wade Barrett on color commentary, the duo had their first edition of WWE SmackDown holding down the show via two-man booth.
After the experience, Corey Graves wrote on Twitter:
I haven’t been that nervous in years.

A new role. A new mountain. A new challenge.
There will be bumps in the road. There is plenty of room for improvement.
But, as a lifelong fan, it is an honor.
I will do my best to do right by you.#SmackDown
What an epic year it has been for Graves, also welcoming the birth of his first child with fellow WWE star Carmella in November.
Elsewhere on the WWE commentary teams, Michael Cole remains on WWE Raw where he is joined by fan favorite, Pat McAfee as their duo takes over Monday night broadcast duties.
